The Future of Compact Cars: The All-New BMW 1 Series – Learn Everything About the New Model Now
BMW has unveiled the fourth-generation BMW 1 Series, a vehicle that combines dynamic design, advanced technology, and superior performance to set a new benchmark in the premium compact segment. With a fresh exterior, an innovative range of engines, and cutting-edge chassis technology, the new BMW 1 Series stands out as the sportiest vehicle in its class.
Dynamic Exterior Design: A Bold New Look
The new BMW 1 Series features a striking exterior design that underscores its sporty character. The long bonnet, set-back passenger cell, flowing roofline, and powerful rear end create a dynamic silhouette. The vehicle has grown slightly compared to its predecessor, with an overall length of 4,361 mm, a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, and a height of 1,459 mm.
The front end is notably flat and sits lower to the road, giving the car a more aggressive stance. The wide BMW kidney grille, with its vertical and diagonal bars, and the standard LED headlights with vertical daytime running lights and turn indicators, add to its bold appearance. Optional adaptive LED headlights with glare-free matrix high beam and cornering light are available.
From the side, the dynamic wedge shape and flat window graphics that taper towards the rear enhance the vehicle's sporty look. The BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line includes a unique graphic element with the number 1 in the Hofmeister kink on the C-pillar. The long roof spoiler and side air deflectors emphasize the stretched silhouette, while vertical reflectors and a black diffuser-style insert add to the powerful rear appearance.
The new BMW 1 Series offers a variety of paint finishes: two solid colors, seven metallic options, and four BMW Individual paint finishes. Additionally, it is the first model in the brand's lineup to offer an optional contrasting roof paint finish in high-gloss black, enhancing its sporty appeal.
Performance and Engine Options: Advanced Powertrains
The new BMW 1 Series comes with a range of highly efficient engines, all featuring 48-volt mild hybrid technology. This technology improves both efficiency and power delivery. The lineup includes:

● BMW 120d: Equipped with a four-cylinder diesel engine, consuming 4.8 – 4.3 l/100 km and emitting 125 – 112 g/km of CO2. It generates 120 kW/163 hp, reaching 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
● BMW 118d: Another four-cylinder diesel option with a consumption of 5.2 – 4.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 136 – 122 g/km. It delivers 110 kW/150 hp, accelerating to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
All engines are paired with a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with dual-clutch technology, ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery.
